According to Peegs/Rivals football recruiting, he is shown as being in the 2016 class for JUCO graduation and he committed to TCU in May.

It sounds like IU had a pretty good rapport with him until he committed. He was one of the jewels of his JUCO class for sure. At last count he had 20 offers from Big 5 conference schools with pretty much his choice of conferences. I believe he announced he'd planned a visit to Bloomington shortly before he committed to TCU. Obviously that visit was cancelled, but it sounds like IU was in until the end vs some heavy recruiting competition.
