Rutgers visits for a weekend series

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Indiana completes its longest homestand of 2015 with a weekend series vs. Rutgers, Friday-Sunday, at Bart Kaufman Field. The series gets underway on Friday at 6:05 p.m. ET.

AT BART KAUFMAN FIELD
••• The Hoosiers are 46-11 (.807) at Bart Kaufman Field since the facility opened in 2013, including an 8-3 mark this season, Indiana won its first seven games to match its best start at the ballpark, also winning its first seven in 2013.

••• Indiana is 21-6 vs. Big Ten foes all-time at Bart Kaufman Field. The Hoosiers are 10-1 in three-game series' at the facility, including an 8-1 mark against conference opponents.

A LOOK AT THE HOOSIERS
••• Indiana owns four wins over 2014 NCAA Super Regional teams and six vs. ranked opponents. Comparatively, Indiana was 19-10 through 29 games in 2014.

••• In the Big Ten, IU ranks first in triples (13) and walks allowed (59), third in home runs (21) and strikeouts (244), batting average (.281), and fifth in RBI (149), runs scored (164), total bases (415) and team ERA (3.41).

••• Indiana has recorded 10 or more hits on 17 occasions, including four of the last six and has struck out 10+ batters 10 times.

••• Craig Dedelow leads IU with a .339 batting average, 40 hits and 63 total bases while Casey Rodrigue paces the Hoosiers with 22 runs scored and 21 runs batted in. Four Hoosiers have at least 10 extra-base hits, led by 14 from Dedelow.

••• Thomas Belcher leads IU with 31 strikeouts. Belcher's 1.50 ERA ranks fifth in the Big Ten and he has given up just one walk in 30 innings pitched.

••• Three of the 10 most experienced pitchers in Indiana history are currently on the roster, including two of the top four. Ryan Halstead's 91 career appearances are first while Luke Harrison is third with 76. Scott Effross has played in 68 games, which is tied for seventh.
