CHAMPAIGN, Ill. -- Indiana baseball faces 11th-ranked and Big Ten-leading Illinois on the road in a three-game series, April 17-19, beginning Friday evening at 7 p.m. ET.

Sunday's game, schedule for 1 p.m. ET, will be televised on the Big Ten Network with Andy Masur and Danan Hughes on the call.

A LOOK AT ILLINOIS
••• Indiana and Illinois have met 188 times since 1896 with the Illini holding a 109-78-1 advantage all-time.

••• Indiana has won four of the last six, winning two of three in both 2013 and 2014 to take the season series'.

••• Illinois won the first 16 all-time meetings before IU's first win, a 13-2 triumph in 1914.

••• Four of the last six meetings since 2013 have been decided by four runs or less, including three one-run decisions.

A LOOK AT THE HOOSIERS
••• In the Big Ten, IU ranks first in triples (13) third in home runs (22), walks allowed (75) and strikeouts (289) and fifth in hits (330), batting average (.279), RBI (166), total bases (477) and team ERA (3.27).

••• Twenty-two of Indiana's 34 games have been decided by three runs or less, including 13 by one run. IU is 8-5 in one-run games and 14-8 in three-run contests.

••• Scott Donley leads IU with a .338 batting average and 44 hits, while Craig Dedelow is second with a .307 average and 43 hits, pacing the Hoosiers with 66 total bases. Casey Rodrigue leads IU with 26 runs scored and 22 runs batted in. Four Hoosiers have at least 10 extra-base hits, led by 14 from Dedelow.

••• Luke Harrison leads IU with 35 strikeouts and a 0.91 ERA, while Jake Kelzer has pitched a team-high 42.0 innings.

••• IU players have been honored six times this season by the Big Ten with Nick Ramos (Feb. 16) and Austin Cangelosi (March 16) earning Big Ten Player of the Week and Logan Sowers (March 2 and 9, April 14) and Brian Hobbie (March 16) picking up Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors.

••• Indiana has recorded 10 or more hits on 18 occasions and has struck out 10+ batters 12 times.

ON THE ROAD AGAIN
••• Indiana is 38-24 in true road games over the last two-plus seasons, including 5-7 this season and an 18-8 mark in 2014.
