IMO, they must win game two, which is about to start, to keep their chances of making the B1G tournament in a favorable status. Maybe I'm wrong, but that's how I see it.

IU held to one hit in loss
BLOOMINGTON, Ind.
-- Indiana struggled offensively, hitting a season-low one time, allowing Michigan State to even the weekend series with a 7-0 win in the first game of a Sunday doubleheader at Bart Kaufman Field.

Despite the lack of hits, Indiana trailed just 2-0 heading into the seventh inning, when the Spartans scored five runs on four hits, including three doubles.

MSU led off with a single and a walk before its first of a pair of 2-RBI doubles in the stanza made it 4-0. A ground-rule double gave the Spartans a 5-0 lead before the visitors added another 2-RBI double to take a 7-0 lead.

Michigan State registered six hits in the first six innings, but only scored twice, notching solo runs on RBI singles in the top of the second and sixth innings, the latter of which was aided by a throwing error on a fielder's choice.

IU starting RHP Jake Kelzer went 5.2 innings and gave up just one earned run despite allowing five leadoff batters to reach base. Kelzer retired six straight batters after MSU's leadoff double in the third and retired nine of 10 heading into the sixth, when MSU scored six runs over the next two innings.

The Hoosiers were shut out for just the second time this season.

Sophomore OF Craig Dedelow had IU's lone hit, his 48th of the season to rank second for IU, in the top of the third.
