IU-ISU: IU batting T3rd up 1-0.**

IU batting T4th down 3-1. A bad inning for WCC as he hit a batter,

walked another batter, and then gave up a 2-out 3-run homer. An error by IU allowed another batter to get on 2nd base, but fortunately, he was left there.

ISU batting B4th still up 3-1. IU had the bases loaded with 2 outs...

on two singles and a walk, but couldn't do anything with it. Before loading the bases, Sowers had led off the inning with a single, but was caught stealing for the 1st out.

WCC is falling apart. A walked batter and two straight singles have..

loaded the bases with no outs. With five games over the next six days, IU is sticking with him so far.

IU batting T5th down 4-1. They were fortunate to give up only one run**

**

ISU batting B6th still up 4-1. Foote has replaced WCC to start the inning*

**

IU gets an unearned run in the 7th, with ISU batting B7th, up 4-2**

A 2-run homer puts ISU up 6-2 with IU batting T8th. Foote gave up...

the homer and, after getting the 2nd out of the inning, was replaced by Belcher who got the final out.

IU loses 6-2. Both teams had eight hits, but the two homers that were...

given up scored five runs and were the difference. We need a good game tomorrow at home against Evansville so that we can have some positive momentum going into the weekend series at Illinois.

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- A pair of multi-run home runs lifted Indiana State to a 6-2 win over Indiana on Tuesday evening at Bob Warn Field.

The Hoosiers sprinted to a fast start scoring in the top of the first inning, but a three-run homer for ISU in the bottom of the third gave the Sycamores a lead they wouldn't surrender the rest of the way.

Indiana scored first on an RBI single from Casey Rodrigue, who walked and stole second to put himself in scoring position.

The Sycamores pulled ahead in the bottom of the third on a three-run home run to right field after ISU put its second runner on base with a two-out walk.

IU loaded the bases with two outs in the fourth inning, but couldn't respond. The Hoosiers, however, limited damage in the bottom of the frame, allowing just one run after ISU loaded the bases with zero outs.

Trailing 4-1 entering the seventh, the Hoosiers placed runners in scoring position with one out on an ISU error and Rodrigue's sixth double of the season. IU scored on Brad Hartong's groundout RBI to cut the deficit to 4-2, but stranded Rodrigue on third.

Indiana State added insurance runs on a two-run home run in the bottom of the frame to take a 6-2 lead that remained for the final score.
