The Purle Aces come to Bloomington tonight. Every time IU plays Evansville, I have to reminisce about growing up in Evansville in the 80s/90s when the Aces were an elite mens soccer team. They had a couple recruiting pipelines to St. Louis and England, which kept the talent level stocked for many years. Those days are long gone and they've been awful for about 25 years now, although they did manage a draw with IU last year. They have 7 or 8 players from Spain on the roster.
