I would like to see all three of these guys utilized more often.
Barner - With all the pre season hype of being best TE in IU History, expected to see more targets. I realize he is blocking more due to OL issues but having him operate in the middle of the field, should help WRs get open outside and keep the LBs from pressing the LOS.
Henderson - Averaging the same YPC as Shivers, but half the carries. Hasn't had as many longer gains, but rarely gets stopped for 1-2 yards, as he seems to be better at finding the holes and breaking the first tackle. Showed that he is effective in the screen game at Neb as well.
Lucas - Seems like we will see him more this coming week from recent comments and excited to see what he can do with more opportunities. If his pass blocking isn't up to speed, could they put him in the slot or out wide, with Shivers or Henderson at RB. This would give them the option for screen or jet sweep. Need to find ways to get him in space. Running a seem route out of the backfield against a LB, seems like a optimal spot for him as well.
The offense needs to find more ways to keep drives going and these three guys have the tools to help, just need to get more oppotunities.
Hopefully, Camper and DJ are back this week or at least Camper (Since his seemed like a game day illness).
Touch challenge Saturday, but hopefully we'll see signs that our offense can take a step forward after the horrible second half last week.
