with Mike Raibold who was then scouting for the Bears. He talked about how teams looked at character issues and attitude. After the first two rounds, it appears that teams are rate ability and potential waaaay ahead of these issues. Several players were taken without regard to issues, some lack of judgment issues for sure, but issues and concerns none the less. Is that something that sends the right message to these kids?

Of course it's not something that sends a good message to kids/athletes, but it's the language of money. I'm not sure the teams or the league is really at all concerned with the messages they're sending to kids.
